Thornholme Field WIND FARM

Community

Public Consultation

We feel it is very important to communicate and consult with the local community.  We also strongly believe that the local community should have their say, as there may be issues relating to the local area that we are unaware of.

Over the coming months, we shall be communicating and consulting in the following ways:

Meeting with Ward and Parish Councillors : 22nd Mar 2011

Wind Prospect met with councillors from Burton Agnes, Carnaby and Rudston Parishes, and some of the local Ward Councillors. A short presentation on current proposals was followed by a questions and answers session.

Letters to Parish Councils : 3rd Feb 2011

Thornholme Field Wind Farm falls within the Parish of Burton Agnes and the Ward of East Wolds and Coastal. Letters have been sent to Burton Agnes Parish Council and the East Wolds and Coastal Councillors to introduce Wind Prospect and provide information about the proposal.

Letters have also been sent to Carnaby, Rudston and Boynton Parish Councils, the Town Council of Bridlington, the Ward Councillors of Bridlington and the MP for East Yorkshire. This is because the potential effects of the wind farm could extend further than the closest Parish and also in recognition of the importance of consulting with the wider community.
