Planning Application Submitted : 30th Aug 2011
The planning application has now been submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council. It is currently in the process of being validated and once this has been done, we will provide details of how you can view and comment on the application via the Council website. The ‘Have Your Say’ tool on this website has now closed as all comments on the application must now be directed to the Planning Officer (details to follow once the application is validated).
A full Environmental Statement has been submitted with the planning application, which reports on the findings of the Environmental Impact Assessment (undertaken to assess all potential impacts of the proposal). A document called a ‘Non Technical Summary’ has also been produced, which summarises the Environmental Statement. This can be downloaded below.
Once the application is validated we will also communicate this to local media via a press release.

Scoping opinion received : 10th Mar 2011
We have now received a scoping opinion from East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The scoping opinion is a document that details all the information that the Council require to see in an Environmental Statement, in order to assess a planning application made for the Thornholme Field lane wind farm.
See here for more details on the planning process.
Request for a Scoping opinion submitted : 3rd Feb 2011
A request for a scoping opinion was submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council on 3rd February 2011.
Scoping is an important part of the Environmental Impact Assessment process as it seeks to focus the studies on those issues most relevant to a particular project. It is intended to seek agreement between the key parties regarding the nature and extent of assessments undertaken.
Using our extensive experience of developing wind farms in the UK, Wind Prospect has informally scoped the issues relevant to the application. However, this exercise also allows the Local Planning Authority and consultees to highlight any other relevant issues, whether the nature and extent of assessments is adequate, and provide background information which may assist with the assessment of effects.
Under the terms of the Regulations, local authorities must provide their Scoping Opinion within 5 weeks of receipt of a request.
Wind monitoring mast application : 3rd Feb 2011
An application for a temporary wind monitoring mast, or anemometer, was validated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council on 9th February 2011.
The wind monitoring mast will provide us with detailed and site specific information about the wind resource, and would be in place for a period of two years.
Click here to view and comment on the application on the East Riding website. You have until the 3rd March 2011 to make comments.
The Council has a statutory 8 weeks to determine the application.
Please note that this is a separate planning application to that which we intend to submit for a wind farm later in the year.
Site identification : 1st Aug 2008
The site was identified by Wind Prospect, who then approached the landowners.
